Canadian goose bandit charged with menacing raccoon
A Toronto man, sought by police for allegedly holding a Canada goose
hostage during a robbery last month, has been arrested again, this
time on charges of threatening a raccoon, police said Monday. Peter
Lerat,3, was arrested Sunday in connection with an incident during
which he allegedly threatened to hit a two-month-old raccoon on the
head with a rock if Toronto pedestrians did not give him money, police
said. The raccoon escaped from the man after police arrived. Lerat
tried to make his first court appearance stark naked Monday.
