Internet Weather Map
Displays the current internet traffic (and congestion) like a weather
map. It's updated every 4 hours and works by timing PINGs to 5,000
hosts across the country. There's also an MPEG of the historical
info so you can watch storms rise and fall.
This site is run by John Quatrerman who some say wrote the first
published book on the internet. He's also the co-author of The Design
and Implementation of the 4.3BSD Unix Operating System.
