Holiday Email from Dad


Dear Chris,
        After considerable thought and conversation, mom and I have 
decided to forego the usual "holiday theme" and celebrate the holidays 
in a more cross-cultural manner. We want to celebrate Kwanza this 
year. Here's where you come in. We took a vote and guess what! You 
were elected to tell grandpop that we  will be celebrating Kwanza 
instead of Christmas. I know you will do a good job convincing him 
that it is the right thing to do. 

        Also, I know grandpop is awfully tough to shop for, so I offer 
a few suggestions:

    1. Howard Stern's latest book
    2. a Kwanza robe or dashiki
    3. anything celebrating Hillary or Bill Clinton
